Today we ate breakfast at DeliFrance and then headed up to work. We met with Ken Madrid, CEO and CFO of the APAC (Asian Pacific) region to check in on our project this afternoon. We worked on analyzing the data more and also on our report over the day. We also met with Chris and another employee about the rest of our project. After this week we only have 2 weeks left of this project. It has all gone by so fast.
For lunch, we went with Mahlon, a Crown employee who sits right near our desks, to a Chinese restaurant near the office. His job is to help people who are moving to Hong Kong get comfortable and know what is around. He has given us a lot of advice on what to see and do, and the best places to do these things. It was fun to go to lunch with him and find out more about what he does at work and hear his other stories. I got spicy pork, and it came with some cooked cabbage and rice, and also an iced milk tea.
After work, we went to our apartments really quickly to change and drop off our work stuff and then headed out to Mong Kok to go to the ladies market. We also went to the Temple market to do some more shopping and try Spicy Crab. I bought some things at both markets, but that's all that you get to know! We all bought some stuff at one or both markets and got some good deals too. We ate at a little restaurant at the Temple market, we got the deep fried spicy crab, some veggies, fried rice, and shrimp. It was all pretty good, but the crab and shrimp were pretty expensive and I'm not sure that it was worth it. Might have to try doing something similar with the crab at home when it's crab season
